Tennessee High School Basketball - Westview nips Huntingdon
January 20, 2023: Martin, TN 38237 Westview Chargers (Martin, TN) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Huntingdon Mustangs (Huntingdon, TN), 55-48 in a league bout.
With the victory, Westview upgrades its record to 2-13 on the campaign. The Chargers host Obion County (Troy, TN) to play the Rebels in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 21. The Rebels come into the bout with a record of 12-3. Obion County lost 48-46 in their recent non-league bout against South Gibson (Medina, TN)
Next up, the Mustangs play the Union City Golden Tornadoes (Union City, TN) in a 2A District 12 bout, on Tuesday, January 24. Huntingdon will attempt to upgrade on its 9-11 season record. The Golden Tornadoes come into the bout with a 5-13 record after their 64-27 league loss to Gibson County (Dyer, TN).
