The Richmond Spartans basketball team scored 82 points and held the visiting Lexington Minutemen to 51 in the Spartans league triumph on Friday.

The Spartans now sport a 12-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Excelsior Springs for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 24. Richmond will battle a Tigers team coming off a 47-38 non-league loss to Greenwood (Springfield, MO). The Tigers record now stands at 0-9.

The Minutemen (5-11) will now prepare for their contest against Sherwood (Creighton, MO). The Marksmen enter the non-league contest with a 6-10 record. In their last contest, Sherwood was routed by Buffalo (Buffalo, MO), 52-35, in a league contest.
