January 20, 2023: New Rockford, ND 58356 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the New Rockford-Sheyenne Rockets (New Rockford, ND) and the visiting St. John Woodchucks (St. John, ND), saw New Rockford-Sheyenne's basketball squad hold off St. John by a tally of 57-52.
With the victory, New Rockford-Sheyenne improves its record to 6-10 on the campaign. The Rockets travel to Langdon (Langdon, ND) to play the Cardinals in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 24. The Cardinals come into the challenge with a record of 0-2.
Next up, the Woodchucks play the Dakota Prairie Knights (Petersburg, ND) in a B Region 4 challenge, on Tuesday, January 24. St. John will attempt to improve on its 6-4 season record. The Knights come into the challenge with a 0-8 record after their 52-45 non-league loss to Drayton/Valley-Edinburg (Drayton, ND).
