January 16, 2023: New Rockford, ND 58356 Fans at Monday's league challenge between the Warwick Warriors (Warwick, ND) and the host New Rockford-Sheyenne Rockets (New Rockford, ND), saw Warwick's basketball squad hold off New Rockford-Sheyenne by a count of 44-40.
With the victory, Warwick upgrades its record to 8-1 on the campaign. The Warriors host North Prairie co-op [Rolette/Wolford/Rolla] (Rolette, ND) to play the Comets in a B Region 4 challenge on Friday, January 20. The Comets come into the challenge with a record of 4-2. North Prairie co-op [Rolette/Wolford/Rolla] won 76-40 in their recent non-league challenge against Midway/Minto (Inkster, ND)
Next up, the Rockets play the St. John Woodchucks (St. John, ND) in a B Region 4 challenge, on Friday, January 20. New Rockford-Sheyenne will attempt to upgrade on its 4-9 season record. The Woodchucks come into the challenge with a 6-3 record after their 72-60 league win over Lakota (Lakota, ND).
