Tennessee High School Basketball - West fells Powell
January 20, 2023: Powell, TN 37849 West Rebels (Knoxville, TN) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Powell Panthers (Powell, TN), 80-66 in a non-league bout.
With the win, West upgrades its record to 14-5 on the season. The Rebels host Campbell County (Jacksboro, TN) to play the Cougars in a 4A District 3 bout on Friday, January 27. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 8-9.
Next up, the Panthers play the Oak Ridge Wildcats (Oak Ridge, TN) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 24. Powell will attempt to upgrade on its 4-14 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 15-2 record after their 81-63 non-league win over Knoxville Central (Knoxville, TN).
