Valley Regional Warriors (Deep River, CT) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Westbrook Knights (Westbrook, CT), 50-49 in a league bout.

With the victory, Valley Regional upgrades its record to 6-6 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Harding (Bridgeport, CT) to play the Presidents in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 21. The Presidents come into the bout with a record of 3-5. Harding lost 80-37 in their recent non-league bout against New London (New London, CT)

Next up, the Knights play the Morgan Huskies (Clinton, CT) in a Shoreline bout, on Tuesday, January 24. Westbrook will attempt to upgrade on its 0-13 season record. The Huskies come into the bout with a 7-4 record after their 56-41 league win over Old Lyme (Old Lyme, CT).
