In Friday's league outing, the Bassett Bengals (Bassett, VA) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Tunstall Trojans (Dry Fork, VA), by a margin of 51-8.

The Bengals (7-9) will now prepare for their outing against Patrick County (Stuart, VA). The Cougars go into the Piedmont outing with a 9-8 record. In their last outing, Patrick County smashed Halifax County (South Boston, VA), 54-52, in a league outing.

The Trojans now own a 0-18 record. They play next when they travel to Magna Vista for a Piedmont outing on Monday, January 23. Tunstall will clash with a Warriors squad coming off a 47-24 league win over George Washington (Danville, VA). The Warriors record now stands at 13-5.
