The Lynden Lions basketball team scored 69 points and held the visiting Mount Vernon Bulldogs to 45 in the Lions league triumph on Friday.

The Lions now sport a 8-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Anacortes for a 1A/2A/3A Northwest contest on Wednesday, January 25. Lynden will battle a Seahawks team coming off a 34-33 league win over Ferndale (Ferndale, WA). The Seahawks record now stands at 4-3.

The Bulldogs (2-7) will now prepare for their contest against Blaine (Blaine, WA). The Borderites enter the 1A/2A/3A Northwest contest with a 1-8 record. In their last contest, Blaine was routed by Burlington-Edison (Burlington, WA), 82-35, in a league contest.
