Washington High School Basketball - Nooksack Valley overwhelms Mount Vernon
January 26, 2023: Mount Vernon, WA 98273 Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Nooksack Valley Pioneers (Everson, WA) and the host Mount Vernon Bulldogs (Mount Vernon, WA), saw Nooksack Valley's basketball squad wallop Mount Vernon by a tally of 85-30.
With the victory, Nooksack Valley improves its record to 12-1 on the campaign. The Pioneers host Sehome (Bellingham, WA) to confront the Mariners in a 1A/2A/3A Northwest challenge on Friday, February 3. The Mariners come into the challenge with a record of 12-2.
Next up, the Bulldogs confront the Lakewood Cougars (Arlington, WA) in a 1A/2A/3A Northwest challenge, on Saturday, January 28. Mount Vernon will attempt to improve on its 3-8 season record. The Cougars come into the challenge with a 7-10 record after their 71-46 league loss to Squalicum (Bellingham, WA).
