The Salem Greyhounds basketball team scored 71 points and restricted the visiting Melbourne Bearkatz to 63 in the Greyhounds league victory on Friday.

The Greyhounds now sport a 15-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Newport for a 3A Region 2 contest on Tuesday, January 24.

The Bearkatz (7-6) will now prepare for their contest against Walnut Ridge (Walnut Ridge, AR). The Bobcats come into the 3A Region 2 contest with a 2-9 record.
