The Robert Toombs Christian Academy Crusaders basketball team scored 59 points and held the host Memorial Day Matadors to 18 in the Crusaders league triumph on Friday.
The Crusaders now sport a 6-12 record. They put it on the line next when they host Piedmont Academy for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 21. Robert Toombs Christian Academy will meet a Cougars team coming off a 50-48 non-league loss to Briarwood Academy (Warrenton, GA). The Cougars record now stands at 9-6.
The Matadors (2-11) will now prepare for their contest against Twiggs Academy (Jeffersonville, GA). The Trojans enter the GIAA A Region 6 contest with a 6-6 record. In their last contest, Twiggs Academy triumphed over John Hancock Academy (Sparta, GA), 60-37, in a non-league contest.
