Texas High School Basketball - Nimitz can't hold off Pearce
January 20, 2023: Irving, TX 75060 The Pearce Mustangs basketball team scored 32 points and held the host Nimitz Vikings to 31 in the Mustangs league triumph on Friday.
The Mustangs now sport a 15-13 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Irving for a 6A Region I District 7 contest on Tuesday, January 24. Pearce will battle a Tigers team coming off a 40-23 league loss to Berkner (Richardson, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 8-18.
The Vikings (8-17) will now prepare for their contest against Richardson (Richardson, TX). The Eagles enter the 6A Region I District 7 contest with a 12-15 record. In their last contest, Richardson was nudged by Lake Highlands (Dallas, TX), 41-35, in a league contest.
