Connecticut High School Basketball - Wolcott crushes Wilby
January 20, 2023: Waterbury, CT 06704 Wolcott Eagles (Wolcott, CT) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Wilby Wildcats (Waterbury, CT), 75-24 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Wolcott upgrades its record to 9-2 on the season. The Eagles travel to Torrington (Torrington, CT) to clash with the Raiders in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Raiders go into the bout with a record of 9-3. Torrington won 61-11 in their recent non-league bout against Derby (Derby, CT)
Next up, the Wildcats clash with the Shepaug Valley Spartans (Washington, CT) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 23. Wilby will attempt to upgrade on its 2-7 season record. The Spartans go into the bout with a 4-8 record after their 27-20 non-league loss to Housatonic-Wamogo (Falls Village, CT).
