January 20, 2024: Searsport, ME 04974 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Central Red Devils (East Corinth, ME) and the host Searsport Vikings (Searsport, ME), saw Central's basketball squad hold off Searsport by a count of 48-44.
With the victory, Central upgrades its record to 3-10 on the campaign. The Red Devils travel to George Stevens Academy (Blue Hill, ME) to play the Eagles in a C North challenge on Tuesday, January 23. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 10-2. George Stevens Academy won 61-50 in their recent league challenge against Sumner (East Sullivan, ME)
Next up, the Vikings face the Bangor Christian Patriots (Bangor, ME) in a non-league match, on Tuesday, January 23. Searsport will attempt to move on its 4-8 season record. The Patriots enter the bout with a 9-3 record after their 32-30 non-league loss to Dexter (Dexter, ME).
