Michigan High School Basketball - Montabella topped by Kent City
January 20, 2024: Kent City, MI 49330 The Kent City Eagles basketball team scored 46 points and restricted the visiting Montabella Mustangs to 36 in the Eagles non-league victory on Saturday.
The Eagles now sport a 4-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Big Rapids for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 23. Kent City will battle a Cardinals team coming off a 77-29 league win over Central Montcalm (Stanton, MI). The Cardinals record now stands at 8-3.
The Mustangs (6-4) will now prepare for their contest against Breckenridge (Breckenridge, MI). The Huskies come into the Mid-State contest with a 10-2 record. In their last contest, Breckenridge prevailed over Fulton (Middleton, MI), 57-33, in a league contest.
