Illinois High School Basketball - Newton overwhelms Marshall
January 20, 2024: Newton, IL 62448 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Newton Eagles (Newton, IL) and the visiting Marshall Lions (Marshall, IL), saw Newton's basketball squad wallop Marshall by a tally of 63-41.
With the victory, Newton improves its record to 15-7 on the campaign. The Eagles host Teutopolis (Teutopolis, IL) to confront the Wooden Shoes in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 30. The Wooden Shoes come into the challenge with a record of 13-6.
Next up, the Lions confront the Martinsville Bluestreaks (Martinsville, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 29. Marshall will attempt to improve on its 8-12 season record.
