Sandy Creek Comets (Sandy Creek, NY) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting South Lewis Falcons (Turin, NY), 56-47 in a league bout.

With the win, Sandy Creek upgrades its record to 7-2 on the season. The Comets host Copenhagen (Copenhagen, NY) to clash with the Golden Knights in a non-league bout on Monday, January 22. The Golden Knights go into the bout with a record of 9-4. Copenhagen won 36-31 in their recent league bout against Belleville Henderson Central (Belleville, NY)
