January 20, 2024: Albuquerque, NM 87105 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Sandia Matadors (Albuquerque, NM) and the host Rio Grande Ravens (Albuquerque, NM), saw Sandia's basketball squad overcome Rio Grande by a tally of 60-41.
With the victory, Sandia improves its record to 5-5 on the campaign. The Matadors travel to Farmington (Farmington, NM) to play the Scorpions in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 23. The Scorpions come into the challenge with a record of 10-1.
Next up, the Ravens play the Capital Jaguars (Santa Fe, NM) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 23. Rio Grande will attempt to improve on its 0-9 season record. The Jaguars come into the challenge with a 5-6 record after their 46-35 non-league win over Pojoaque Valley (Pojoaque, NM).
