Iowa High School Basketball - Bishop Garrigan crushes West Bend-Mallard
January 20, 2024: West Bend, IA 50597 Bishop Garrigan Golden Bears (Algona, IA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host West Bend-Mallard Wolverines (West Bend, IA), 83-51 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Bishop Garrigan upgrades its record to 16-1 on the season. The Golden Bears travel to Garner-Hayfield (Garner, IA) to clash with the Cardinals in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 23. The Cardinals go into the bout with a record of 0-0.
Next up, the Wolverines clash with the South Central Calhoun Titans (Lake City, IA) in a Twin Lakes bout, on Tuesday, January 23. West Bend-Mallard will attempt to upgrade on its 8-5 season record. The Titans go into the bout with a 4-10 record after their 55-43 league loss to Alta-Aurelia (Alta, IA).
