The Bishop McNamara Fightin' Irish basketball team scored 49 points and held the visiting St. Edward Green Wave to 41 in the Fightin' Irish league triumph on Saturday.

The Fightin' Irish now sport a 18-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Butler for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 23. Bishop McNamara will meet a Lynx team coming off a 53-49 non-league loss to Whitney Young (Chicago, IL). The Lynx record now stands at 15-10.

The Green Wave (12-11) will now prepare for their contest against Yorkville Christian (Yorkville, IL). The Mustangs enter the non-league contest with a 7-10 record.
