Illinois High School Basketball - St. Edward nips Wheaton Academy
February 3, 2024: Elgin, IL 60123 St. Edward Green Wave (Elgin, IL) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Wheaton Academy Warriors (West Chicago, IL), 45-38 in a league bout.
With the win, St. Edward upgrades its record to 15-12 on the season. The Green Wave host IC Catholic Prep (Elmhurst, IL) to play the Knights in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 6. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 20-8. IC Catholic Prep won 48-47 in their recent non-league bout against St. Francis (Wheaton, IL)
Next up, the Warriors play the Westminster Christian Warriors (Elgin, IL) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 6. Wheaton Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 16-9 season record.
