Clarke Central Gladiators (Athens, GA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Cedar Shoals Jaguars (Athens, GA), 43-39 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Clarke Central upgrades its record to 7-11 on the season. The Gladiators host Eastside (Covington, GA) to clash with the Eagles in a AAAAA Region 8 bout on Tuesday, January 23. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 12-7. Eastside won 68-49 in their recent league bout against Heritage (Conyers, GA)
