South Dakota High School Basketball - Mitchell holds off Harrisburg
January 20, 2024: Harrisburg, SD 57032 Fans at Saturday's league challenge between the Mitchell Kernels (Mitchell, SD) and the host Harrisburg Tigers (Harrisburg, SD), saw Mitchell's basketball squad hold off Harrisburg by a tally of 46-44.
With the victory, Mitchell improves its record to 9-0 on the campaign. The Kernels travel to Lincoln (Sioux Falls, SD) to confront the Patriots in a AA challenge on Friday, January 26. The Patriots come into the challenge with a record of 0-9.
Next up, the Tigers confront the Brookings Bobcats (Brookings, SD) in a AA challenge, on Tuesday, January 23. Harrisburg will attempt to improve on its 6-3 season record. The Bobcats come into the challenge with a 2-8 record after their 59-46 league loss to Stevens (Rapid City, SD).
