January 20, 2024: Zumbrota, MN 55992 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Zumbrota-Mazeppa Cougars (Zumbrota, MN) and the visiting La Crescent Lancers (La Crescent, MN), saw Zumbrota-Mazeppa's basketball squad wallop La Crescent by a tally of 63-37.
With the victory, Zumbrota-Mazeppa improves its record to 8-10 on the campaign. The Cougars host Lewiston-Altura (Lewiston, MN) to play the Cardinals in a AA Section 1 challenge on Tuesday, January 23. The Cardinals come into the challenge with a record of 3-14.
Next up, the Lancers play the Dover-Eyota Eagles (Eyota, MN) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 22. La Crescent will attempt to improve on its 5-11 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 16-4 record after their 56-52 league win over Plainview-Elgin-Millville (Elgin, MN).
