Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Liberal Redskins (Liberal, KS) and the host South Cougars (Salina, KS), saw Liberal's basketball squad hold off South by a tally of 54-50.

With the victory, Liberal improves its record to 8-4 on the campaign. The Redskins travel to Tournament Opponent (, ) to play the in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 20. The come into the challenge with a record of 68-159. Tournament Opponent lost 33-16 in their recent non-league challenge against First Baptist (Rosemount, MN)
