Mississippi High School Basketball - Northeast Lauderdale overwhelms West Lauderdale
January 20, 2024: Collinsville, MS 39325 Fans at Saturday's league challenge between the Northeast Lauderdale Trojans (Meridian, MS) and the host West Lauderdale Knights (Collinsville, MS), saw Northeast Lauderdale's basketball squad wallop West Lauderdale by a count of 64-31.
With the victory, Northeast Lauderdale upgrades its record to 10-9 on the campaign. The Trojans travel to Raleigh (Raleigh, MS) to play the Lions in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 23. The Lions come into the challenge with a record of 7-11.
Next up, the Knights play the Leake Central Gators (Carthage, MS) in a 4A Region 4 challenge, on Tuesday, January 23. West Lauderdale will attempt to upgrade on its 4-15 season record. The Gators come into the challenge with a 13-5 record after their 51-48 league loss to Newton County (Decatur, MS).
