Washington High School Basketball - Pe Ell edges Ocosta
January 20, 2024: Pe Ell, WA 98572 The Pe Ell Trojans (Pe Ell, WA) basketball nipped the visiting Ocosta Wildcats (Westport, WA), 48-43 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Trojans (15-3) will now prepare for their test against Firm Foundation Christian (Battle Ground, WA). The Eagles go into the non-league test with a 0-0 record.
The Wildcats now own a 6-8 record. They play next when they host Non Varsity Opponent for a non-league test on Monday, January 22.
First Quarter
Ocosta started out fast scoring the games first 7 points. Bristol Towle started out the scoring with a 3 point shot from the corner.
Third Quarter
Alexia Bradley scored 8 of her team high 17 points in the 3rd Quarter.
Fourth Quarter
Ocosta came up short in the fourth quarter but Coach Ness was very happy with their overall Grit and effort displayed by the 6 girls today. Coach Rissy Ness "We fell short of the win tonight, but the girls played hard tonight especially with some not feeling 100% today, but they still gave it there all to the end!!" Ocosta ended the night with 8 assists on 16 made field goals. Ocosta once again filled up the stat sheet with 38 Rebounds ( 18 on the offensive end).
