Oklahoma High School Basketball - Spiro can't hold off Poteau
January 20, 2024: Spiro, OK 74959 The Poteau Pirates basketball team scored 52 points and held the host Spiro Bulldogs to 45 in the Pirates non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Pirates now sport a 9-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Broken Bow for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 23. Poteau will battle a Savages team coming off a 55-31 non-league win over Cache (Cache, OK). The Savages record now stands at 7-7.
The Bulldogs (12-4) will now prepare for their contest against Union Christian Academy (Fort Smith, AR). The Eagles enter the non-league contest with a 5-17 record. In their last contest, Union Christian Academy was nudged by Mingo Valley Christian (Tulsa, OK), 35-26, in a non-league contest.
