North Carolina High School Basketball - Currituck County succumbs to Grassfield

January 20, 2025: Barco, NC 27917

The Grassfield Grizzlies defeated the host Currituck County Knights basketball squad by a final score of 67-55 in Monday's non-league outing.

Next, the Grizzlies clash with the Indian River Braves (Chesapeake, VA) in a Southeastern outing, on Tuesday, January 21. Grassfield will attempt to upgrade on its 5-6 season record. The Braves come into the outing with a 10-1 record after their 87-45 league loss to Oscar Smith (Chesapeake, VA).

The Knights (10-6) will now prepare for their outing against First Flight (Kill Devil Hills, NC). The Nighthawks come into the 2A/3A Northeastern Coastal outing with a 8-7 record. In their last outing, First Flight went down by Greenfield (Wilson, NC), 84-57, in a non-league outing.
