The crowd at Monday's non-league challenge between the Matanzas Pirates (Palm Coast, FL) and the host Deltona Wolves (Deltona, FL), observed Matanzas's basketball team overcome Deltona by a margin of 64-48.

The Pirates (10-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Flagler Palm Coast (Palm Coast, FL). The Bulldogs come into the non-league challenge with a 12-8 record. In their last challenge, Flagler Palm Coast defeated Lake Gibson (Lakeland, FL), 69-67, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Wolves battle the New Smyrna Beach Barracudas (New Smyrna Beach, FL) in a 5A District 7 challenge, on Tuesday, January 21. Deltona will attempt to better on its 4-15 season record. The Barracudas come into the challenge with a 12-6 record after their 50-45 non-league win over DME Academy Gold (Daytona Beach, FL).
