January 20, 2025: Franklin, LA 70538 Hanson Memorial Tigers (Franklin, LA) boosters left the game satisfied Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the visiting Westminster Christian Academy Chargers (Lafayette, LA), 24-13 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Hanson Memorial upgrades its record to 6-13 on the year. The Tigers host Central Catholic (Morgan City, LA) to face the Eagles in a 1A District 7 match on Tuesday, January 21. The Eagles enter the match with a record of 16-7. Central Catholic won 61-46 in their recent league match against Covenant Christian Academy (Houma, LA)
The Chargers now sport a 2-17 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Eunice for a non-league match on Tuesday, January 21. Westminster Christian Academy will face a Bobcats squad coming off a 60-26 non-league loss to Rayne (Rayne, LA). The Bobcats record now stands at 5-16.
