The Southwestern Warriors basketball team scored 71 points and limited the host Somerset Briar Jumpers to 25 in the Warriors non-league triumph on Monday.

The Warriors now possess a 10-7 record. They play next when they travel to Highlands for a non-league game on Friday, January 24. Southwestern will play a Bluebirds team coming off a 65-40 non-league win over Ryle (Union, KY). The Bluebirds record now stands at 14-4.

With the loss, Somerset falls to 3-10 on the campaign. The Briar jumpers travel to Pulaski County (Somerset, KY) to play the Maroons in a District 47 game on Friday, January 24.
