Nebraska High School Basketball - Alma holds off Elm Creek

The Alma Cardinals basketball team scored 57 points and limited the visiting Elm Creek Buffaloes to 56 in the Cardinals non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Cardinals now have a 14-1 record. They play next when they travel to Arapahoe for a non-league game on Saturday, January 24. Alma will confront a Warriors team coming off a 41-37 non-league loss to Axtell (Axtell, NE). The Warriors record now stands at 0-15.

With the loss, Elm Creek falls to 13-2 on the campaign. The Buffaloes host Pleasanton (Pleasanton, NE) to confront the Bulldogs in a non-league game on Friday, January 23. The Bulldogs go into the game with a record of 6-8. Pleasanton lost 70-60 in their recent non-league game against Sumner-Eddyville-Miller (Sumner, NE)
