In Tuesday's league test, the Payson Longhorns (Payson, AZ) basketball squad knocked off the host San Tan Foothills Sabercats (Queen Creek, AZ), by a score of 59-44.

Next, the Longhorns encounter the Snowflake Lobos (Snowflake, AZ) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 22. Payson will attempt to move on its 19-4 season record. The Lobos go into the bout with a 9-9 record after their 60-59 league win over Winslow (Winslow, AZ).

With the loss, San Tan Foothills falls to 6-16 on the campaign. The Sabercats travel to Northwest Christian (Phoenix, AZ) to play the Crusaders in a 3A Metro bout on Thursday, January 22.
