North Carolina High School Basketball - Queen's Grant can't hold off Carolina International

February 5, 2022: Concord, NC 28027

The Carolina International Comets basketball team scored 86 points and held the visiting Queen's Grant Stallions to 82 in the Comets league triumph on Saturday.

The Comets now sport a 12-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Sugar Creek for a 1A Conference 38 contest on Tuesday, February 8. Carolina International will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 56-55 league win over Piedmont Community Charter (Gastonia, NC). The Wildcats record now stands at 5-8.

The Stallions (15-6) will now prepare for their contest against Apprentice Academy (Monroe, NC). The Red Wolves enter the 1A Conference 38 contest with a 1-17 record. In their last contest, Apprentice Academy was edged by Corvian Community (Charlotte, NC), 107-29, in a league bout.
