Central Regional Golden Eagles (Bayville, NJ) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Southern Regional Rams (Manahawkin, NJ), 44-40 in a league bout.

With the victory, Central Regional upgrades its record to 7-2 on the campaign. The Golden Eagles host Toms River South (Toms River, NJ) to play the Indians in a Shore A - South bout on Thursday, January 27. The Indians come into the bout with a record of 4-6.

Next up, the Rams play the Toms River East Raiders (Toms River, NJ) in a Shore A - South bout, on Tuesday, January 25. Southern Regional will attempt to upgrade on its 5-7 season record.
