Howell Highlanders (Howell, MI) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Brighton Bulldogs (Brighton, MI), 54-45 in a league bout.

With the win, Howell upgrades its record to 8-3 on the season. The Highlanders host Canton (Canton, MI) to play the Chiefs in a Kensington Lakes - West bout on Tuesday, January 25. The Chiefs go into the bout with a record of 1-8. Canton lost 53-48 in their recent league bout against Salem (Canton, MI)
