The Shamokin Area Indians topped the host Central Mountain Wildcats basketball team by a final score of 32-23 in Friday's league game.

In their next game, the Indians face the Mahanoy Area Golden Bears (Mahanoy City, PA) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, January 22. Shamokin Area will attempt to better on its 9-2 season record.

The Wildcats (5-8) will now prepare for their battle against Selinsgrove (Selinsgrove, PA). The Seals come into the Heartland I battle with a 9-3 record. In their last battle, Selinsgrove prevailed over Midd-West (Middleburg, PA), 45-15, in a league battle.
