Maryland High School Basketball - Chopticon holds off Leonardtown
January 21, 2022: Morganza, MD 20660 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Chopticon Braves (Morganza, MD) and the visiting Leonardtown Raiders (Leonardtown, MD), saw Chopticon's basketball squad hold off Leonardtown by a tally of 43-41.
With the victory, Chopticon improves its record to 7-4 on the campaign. The Braves host Calvert (Prince Frederick, MD) to confront the Cavaliers in a Southern Maryland challenge on Wednesday, January 26. The Cavaliers come into the challenge with a record of 3-4.
Next up, the Raiders confront the Great Mills Hornets (Great Mills, MD) in a Southern Maryland challenge, on Monday, January 24. Leonardtown will attempt to improve on its 8-3 season record. The Hornets come into the challenge with a 6-1 record after their 60-48 league win over St. Charles (Waldorf, MD).
