Arkansas High School Basketball - Fordyce overwhelms Lafayette County
January 21, 2022: Fordyce, AR 71742 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Fordyce Redbugs (Fordyce, AR) and the visiting Lafayette County Cougars (Stamps, AR), saw Fordyce's basketball squad wallop Lafayette County by a tally of 60-39.
With the victory, Fordyce improves its record to 15-6 on the campaign. The Redbugs host Spring Hill (Hope, AR) to confront the Bears in a 2A Region 8 challenge on Saturday, January 22. The Bears come into the challenge with a record of 7-8. Spring Hill won 61-16 in their recent league challenge against Hampton (Hampton, AR)
Next up, the Cougars confront the Nevada Blue Jays (Rosston, AR) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 25. Lafayette County will attempt to improve on its 12-3 season record. The Blue Jays come into the challenge with a 7-7 record after their 40-36 league loss to Bradley (Bradley, AR).
