January 21, 2023: Frontenac, KS 66763 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Frontenac Raiders (Frontenac, KS) and the visiting Fort Scott Tigers (Fort Scott, KS), saw Frontenac's basketball squad hold off Fort Scott by a tally of 60-56.
With the victory, Frontenac improves its record to 5-3 on the campaign. The Raiders travel to St. Mary's-Colgan (Pittsburg, KS) to confront the Panthers in a Crawford-Neosho-Cherokee challenge on Tuesday, January 24. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 5-5. St. Mary's-Colgan lost 64-59 in their recent non-league challenge against Jefferson Independent Day (Joplin, MO)
Next up, the Tigers confront the Girard Trojans (Girard, KS) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 24. Fort Scott will attempt to improve on its 4-8 season record. The Trojans come into the challenge with a 5-3 record after their 55-49 non-league loss to Augusta (Augusta, KS).
