January 21, 2023: Joliet, IL 60435 The Plainfield Central Wildcats basketball team (Plainfield, IL), was toppled 81-72 in Saturday's non-league battle with the host Joliet Catholic Hilltoppers (Joliet, IL)
The Hilltoppers now possess a 9-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host St. Patrick for a East Suburban Catholic battle on Tuesday, January 24. Joliet Catholic will confront a Shamrocks team coming off a 37-26 league loss to Niles Notre Dame (Niles, IL). The Shamrocks record now stands at 12-7.
The Wildcats (5-16) will now prepare for their battle against West Aurora (Aurora, IL). The Blackhawks come into the SouthWest Prairie battle with a 14-10 record. In their last battle, West Aurora was toppled by Metea Valley (Aurora, IL), 57-44, in a non-league battle.
