West Virginia High School Basketball - Webster County nudges St. Joseph Central

January 21, 2023: Huntington, WV 25701

Webster County Highlanders (Upper Glade, WV) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host St. Joseph Central Irish (Huntington, WV), 59-57 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Webster County upgrades its record to 10-3 on the season. The Highlanders travel to Roane County (Spencer, WV) to clash with the Raiders in a Little Kanawha - East bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Raiders go into the bout with a record of 3-7. Roane County lost 65-52 in their recent non-league bout against Ritchie County (Ellenboro, WV)

Next up, the Irish clash with the Notre Dame Titans (Portsmouth, OH) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 24. St. Joseph Central will attempt to upgrade on its 3-6 season record. The Titans go into the bout with a 10-5 record after their 59-39 league win over Western (Latham, OH).
