Georgia High School Basketball - Bleckley County crushes Toombs County
January 21, 2023: Cochran, GA 31014 Bleckley County Royals (Cochran, GA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Toombs County Bulldogs (Lyons, GA), 74-47 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Bleckley County upgrades its record to 10-9 on the season. The Royals travel to Swainsboro (Swainsboro, GA) to clash with the Tigers in a A D1 Region 2 bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 8-5. Swainsboro won 65-40 in their recent league bout against Jefferson County (Louisville, GA)
Next up, the Bulldogs clash with the Brantley County Herons (Nahunta, GA) in a AA Region 3 bout, on Tuesday, January 24. Toombs County will attempt to upgrade on its 4-13 season record. The Herons go into the bout with a 11-7 record after their 49-44 league loss to Pierce County (Blackshear, GA).
