Fans at Saturday's league challenge between the Custer County Bobcats (Westcliffe, CO) and the host Cotopaxi Pirates (Cotopaxi, CO), saw Custer County's basketball squad overcome Cotopaxi by a tally of 29-16.

With the victory, Custer County improves its record to 3-5 on the campaign. The Bobcats host Centennial (San Luis, CO) to confront the Rams in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 24. The Rams come into the challenge with a record of 4-6. Centennial won 53-16 in their recent league challenge against Lake City (Lake City, CO)

Next up, the Pirates confront the South Park Burros (Fairplay, CO) in a 2A/1A West Central challenge, on Friday, January 27. Cotopaxi will attempt to improve on its 6-5 season record. The Burros come into the challenge with a 3-3 record after their 48-11 league loss to Del Norte (Del Norte, CO).
