Jefferson County Patriots (Dandridge, TN) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Volunteer Falcons (Church Hill, TN), 56-42 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Jefferson County upgrades its record to 9-8 on the season. The Patriots host David Crockett (Jonesborough, TN) to clash with the Pioneers in a non-league bout on Monday, January 23. The Pioneers go into the bout with a record of 17-4. David Crockett won 50-45 in their recent league bout against Daniel Boone (Gray, TN)

Next up, the Falcons clash with the Morristown-Hamblen East Hurricanes (Morristown, TN) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 23. Volunteer will attempt to upgrade on its 6-12 season record. The Hurricanes go into the bout with a 9-11 record after their 63-48 non-league loss to Sevier County (Sevierville, TN).
