Waterford Wildcats (Waterford, OH) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Linsly Cadets (Wheeling, WV), 47-39 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Waterford upgrades its record to 11-5 on the campaign. The Wildcats host South Gallia (Crown City, OH) to play the Rebels in a Tri-Valley - Hocking bout on Monday, January 23. The Rebels come into the bout with a record of 16-2. South Gallia won 55-26 in their recent league bout against Trimble (Glouster, OH)

Next up, the Cadets play the Oak Glen Golden Bears (New Cumberland, WV) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 26. Linsly will attempt to upgrade on its 8-10 season record.
