West Virginia High School Basketball - Parkersburg South nips Linsly
January 30, 2023: Parkersburg, WV 26101 Parkersburg South Patriots (Parkersburg, WV) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Linsly Cadets (Wheeling, WV), 51-49 in a league bout.
With the win, Parkersburg South upgrades its record to 9-6 on the season. The Patriots host Parkersburg (Parkersburg, WV) to play the Big Reds in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 31. The Big Reds go into the bout with a record of 9-9. Parkersburg won 96-26 in their recent non-league bout against Capital (Charleston, WV)
Next up, the Cadets play the Wheeling Central Catholic Maroon Knights (Wheeling, WV) in a non-league bout, on Monday, February 6. Linsly will attempt to upgrade on its 9-12 season record. The Maroon Knights go into the bout with a 15-3 record after their 41-37 non-league win over Monroe Central (Woodsfield, OH).
