West Virginia High School Basketball - University edges Linsly
January 16, 2023: Wheeling, WV 26003 The University Hawks (Morgantown, WV) basketball nipped the host Linsly Cadets (Wheeling, WV), 47-43 in Monday's non-league test.
The Hawks (9-6) will now prepare for their test against Morgantown (Morgantown, WV). The Mohigans go into the Two Rivers test with a 7-3 record. In their last test, Morgantown got by John Marshall (Glen Dale, WV), 61-40, in a league test.
The Cadets now own a 8-8 record. They play next when they host Union Local for a non-league test on Tuesday, January 17. Linsly will encounter a Jets squad coming off a 72-22 league win over St. Clairsville (St. Clairsville, OH). The Jets record now stands at 15-0.
