Nevada High School Basketball - Pershing County overwhelms Battle Mountain
January 21, 2023: Battle Mountain, NV 89820 Fans at Saturday's league challenge between the Pershing County Mustangs (Lovelock, NV) and the host Battle Mountain Longhorns (Battle Mountain, NV), saw Pershing County's basketball squad wallop Battle Mountain by a tally of 53-16.
With the victory, Pershing County improves its record to 10-2 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Incline (Incline Village, NV) to confront the Highlanders in a challenge on Friday, January 27. The Highlanders come into the challenge with a record of 8-3.
Next up, the Longhorns confront the West Wendover Wolverines (West Wendover, NV) in a challenge, on Tuesday, January 24. Battle Mountain will attempt to improve on its 4-6 season record. The Wolverines come into the challenge with a 8-10 record after their 56-14 league win over Coral Academy of Science - Reno (Reno, NV).
